Rooney back for Reds

Wayne Rooney has recovered from a virus and should start for Manchester United at Newcastle tomorrow.

The England striker missed Sunday’s Carling Cup triumph over Tottenham, but has since managed to train, and should be part of a fresh United line-up, also containing Dimitar Berbatov, Edwin van der Sar, Michael Carrick, Park Ji-Sung and Darren Fletcher, none of whom were involved in the action at Wembley.
