O'Toole joins Sheffield United

Sheffield United have signed attacking midfielder John-Joe O‘Toole on loan from Watford.

The 20-year-old has moved to Bramall Lane for the rest of the season, with the Blades currently just one place below the Coca-Cola Championship play-offs on goal difference.

O‘Toole, who has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-21 level, has started 15 games for Watford this season and made a further 13 appearances from the bench, scoring eight goals.

He made his first-team debut at the start of last season and went on to land the club’s 2007/08 young player of the year award.
