Hughes looking for first away win since August
Mark Hughes returned to Blackburn looking for a first away win in the Barclays Premier League since August for Manchester City.
After four years at Ewood Park, Hughes left last summer for the challenge of managing City’s high expectation. But so far things have not gone to plan for the Blues, even if City’s December 26 hammering of Hull hauled them out of the relegation zone.
City made one change, Nedum Onuoha replacing out of form England star Micah Richards.
New Rovers boss Sam Allardyce – installed as successor to Paul Ince, who took over from Hughes – selected veteran Tugay to fill the gap created by David Dunn’s hamstring injury.
