The Blackburn goalkeeper has been ruled out for two weeks by his club because of a calf injury sustained in the first half of the midweek Carling Cup defeat of Everton.

It means he is unlikely to figure in the Wembley clash on October 11 – and also calls into question his availability for the match in Belarus four days later.
