Dundee United have signed Sunderland forward Roy O’Donovan on a season-long loan.

O’Donovan, 22, joined Sunderland from Cork City 12 months ago but made just four starts and is being allowed to leave the Stadium of Light on a temporary basis by manager Roy Keane.
