Champions Drogheda got back to winning ways as bottom of the table Galway slumped to an eleventh defeat of the season.

Galway did well in the first half with Mark Leech and Vinny Faherty coming close.

But Drogheda got the only goal on 57 minutes when Sami Ristila set up Ollie Cahill from Jason Gavin’s cross to shoot past Gary Rogers.
