Cobh missed a penalty and then had to settle for a point as UCD created the better openings.

Cobh blew a 27th minute chance to take the lead.

Conor Meade was upended inside the College area by Ian Bermingham, but Kieran O'Reilly's penalty was well saved by Matt Gregg.

College were the better side in the second half and Derek Doyle struck a the bar before Paul Byrne brought a brilliant save from James McCarthy with a header on the hour.
