The Dutch forward is rated as having an “80%” chance of being available by manager Arsene Wenger.

Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor is now fully match fit, but Gilberto will start a three-match suspension, so Mathieu Flamini is in contention to step into midfield.

Centre-back Johan Djourou (hamstring) is not available, nor is Alexander Song, away on under-20 international duty with Cameron.

Right-back Emmanuel Eboue has recovered from his ankle problem to rejoin the squad.

Freddie Ljungberg (hamstring) and William Gallas (thigh) both remain a couple of weeks away from fitness.
