Birmingham’s Coca-Cola Championship clash with Leeds has been postponed because of the condition of the relaid pitch at St Andrews.

The surface was dug up and replaced after last weekend’s FA Cup clash with Newcastle but concern had been voiced that would will not be ready in time for the meeting with Dennis Wise’s side.

And following consultation with the Football League’s “official turf expert” Steve Baker plus referee Rob Styles and referees manager Jim Ashworth, the decision has been made to postpone the fixture.
