Hedman gets Chelsea trial

Chelsea have given former Coventry and Celtic goalkeeper Magnus Hedman a trial until the end of the week.

The 33-year-old is being looked at as a possible third-choice goalkeeper because of Petr Cech’s absence through injury which leaves Carlo Cudicini and Hilario as the only alternatives at Stamford Bridge.

The former Sweden international has been without a club since leaving Celtic in summer 2005.
