Cork City boss to quit?

Damien Richardson has claimed that he is considering his future because of refereeing decisions that are going against his club.

Cork were knocked out of the FAI Cup by Longford Town last night and Richardson was left fuming by the award of a penalty and the dismissal of goalkeeper Michael Devine in the dying minutes.

Television pictures showed that Devine made no contact with Longford striker David Mooney though was still sent off, with Longford converting the penalty and going on to overturn a 1-0 deficit to win 2-1.

Rico said: “I am questioning my involvement now. I cannot put my future in the hands of that sort of behaviour.”

The Cork boss insisted that his side has consistently been given a raw deal by referees and will look at his future long-term rather than make any knee jerk reaction.
