Goalless in Limerick
Limerick FC 0 Drogheda United 0
Stubborn Limerick earned a deserved replay against the cup holders who were left to rue a late disallowed goal at Hogan Park.
Brian Buckley, with a 70th minute free kick that shaved a post, and Colm Heffernan, from Paul Rose’s cross, shortly afterwards were the closest the First Division leaders came to causing an upset.
Drogheda then thought they had won it on 88 minuets but skipper Declan O’Brien’s ‘goal’ was disallowed by referee Alan Kelly for an offside to bring the sides back to United Park on Monday night.
