Pearson: Hull would consider Taylor approach
Hull chairman Adam Pearson admits he would consider an approach from Charlton to speak to Peter Taylor about their managerial vacancy.
The Addicks are searching for a new boss after Alan Curbishley ended his 15-year tenure at the club at the end of the season.
Hull boss Taylor has been linked with the post along with Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle and Colchester’s Phil Parkinson, while Reading chief Steve Coppell yesterday signed a new contract with the Royals.
Taylor, who combined his role at the KC Stadium by managing England U21s on a part-time basis, has insisted he is happy at Hull.
Pearson said: “There’s been no approach from Charlton to speak to Peter but if they came to us then we would have to consider it.
“Managing a Premiership club represents a fantastic opportunity for any manager and Peter’s achievements here at Hull City clearly merit recognition.
"That’s obviously why his name is being linked with the Charlton job and although we certainly wouldn’t welcome any approach, we would have to consider it.”
