Quinn confirms Sunderland interest

Former Republic of Ireland and Sunderland striker Niall Quinn has today confirmed his interest in taking over the Barclays Premiership’s rock bottom club.

The 39-year-old, who spent the last six years of his career on Wearside, is trying to put together a consortium to buy the Black Cats.
