Cork stumble to draw at UCD
UCD 0 Cork City 0
Missing talisman George O’Callaghan, Cork stumbled to a scoreless draw at Belfield as it was the Students who trooped off at the finish the more disappointed side.
Looking far from champions, Cork created barely a couple of chances on goal during the 90 minutes in a very poor show from Damien Richardson’s side.
UCD’s Paul Byrne had the best chance of a less than inspiring first half when his header from Darragh Ryan’s delivery was narrowly wide.
City keeper Michael Devine then made the stop of the night on 86 minutes from Pat McWalter before Cork almost snatched the win two minutes later.
Neal Horgan's cross was met by skipper Dan Murray but Darren Quigley made a vital save to give UCD their more than deserved point.
