Arsenal trio out

Striker Dennis Bergkamp (groin) has joined Sol Campbell and Freddie Ljungberg (calf) in the Arsenal treatment room and all three are not fit enough to be considered for tomorrow’s Premiership clash against Aston Villa.

Campbell has suffered a minor toe injury on his recovery from an ankle problem, but manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful he and Ljungberg could be back for the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Juventus in Turin.

“Sol will be back Wednesday. It is a boost to have him available again,” said Wenger.

“I first get tomorrow’s game out the way then we look at the next one to see if he will be on the substitutes’ bench.”

Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor is available again after being cup-tied in midweek, but Arsenal will still be without left-back Ashley Cole (ankle) and Pascal Cygan (hamstring), while Lauren is out for the season after knee surgery.

Team (from): Lehmann, Almunia, Eboue, Toure, Senderos, Hleb, Flamini, Fabregas, Gilberto, Pires, Henry, Adebayor, Djourou, Song, van Persie, Reyes, Diaby, Walcott.
