Quashie deal completes hectic deadline day

West Brom beat the January transfer window deadline with minutes to spare to sign Southampton midfielder Nigel Quashie in a £1.4m (€2m) deal.

Quashie has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year contract which will keep him at The Hawthorns until the summer of 2009.
