Gunners to turn to big guns

Arsenal have strengthened their normal Carling Cup squad for tomorrow’s semi-final first leg at Wigan, with Freddie Ljungberg, Jose Antonio Reyes, Alexander Hleb and Gilberto all included.

However, Thierry Henry, Jens Lehmann and Sol Campbell are again rested, having also missed the FA Cup third round win against Cardiff.

Robin van Persie is also rested, along with Lauren and Robert Pires, while Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue are unavailable due to international duties with the Ivory Coast.
