Arsenal will bring Dennis Bergkamp back into the squad for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with Portsmouth at Highbury.

The veteran Dutch forward was rested for the 1-0 win at Charlton on Boxing Day and, with Robin van Persie (knee) still unavailable, returns to contention.

Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy (foot) remain sidelined as they recover match fitness, while young striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie will be out for up to a month with another knee problem.

“We have four games, so we need to change a few players for Wednesday,” said manager Arsene Wenger.

Provisional squad: Lehmann, Lauren, Campbell, Toure, Cygan, Fabregas, Gilberto, Hleb, Pires, Ljungberg, Henry, Reyes, Flamini, Senderos, Almunia, Eboue, Song, Bergkamp, Lupoli.
