Jose Antonio Reyes is back in contention for Arsenal’s Boxing Day trip to Charlton as Arsene Wenger assesses the fitness of Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie.

Henry faces a Christmas Eve fitness test on an Achilles problem, while Van Persie is doubtful with a knee injury sustained in the midweek Carling Cup win at Doncaster.

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie will be ruled out for up to a month with another knee problem, while Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy are still sidelined, but Reyes could return after a fortnight out with a thigh injury.

Provisional squad: Lehmann, Almunia, Lauren, Eboue, Cygan, Toure, Campbell, Senderos, Gilberto, Flamini, Fabregas, Song, Pires, Reyes, Hleb, Ljungberg, Van Persie, Henry, Bergkamp, Lupoli.
