Thierry Henry will play against Sunderland on Saturday despite being substituted during the second half of the Champions League win over Sparta Prague as a precaution against complications to his groin problem.

Thierry Henry will play against Sunderland on Saturday despite being substituted during the second half of the Champions League win over Sparta Prague as a precaution against complications to his groin problem.

Manager Arsene Wenger said: “He will play tomorrow. I was very impressed by him on Wednesday. He looks sharp and fit.”

Goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is also available following a stiff back which kept him out of the 3-0 victory over the Czechs at Highbury. Midfielder Freddie Ljungberg (hamstring) will not feature.
