Robinson denies FA charge
West Brom defender Paul Robinson has denied a Football Association charge of using abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official during the Carling Cup win over Fulham.
The 26-year-old was dismissed by Andy D’Urso during extra-time of the 3-2 victory at Craven Cottage on Tuesday after a clash with Cottagers defender Zat Knight.
Robinson was charged by the FA yesterday and had until today to accept or deny the charge. The case will now be heard by a disciplinary commission next Thursday.
A statement from the FA read: “West Bromwich Albion defender Paul Robinson has denied a charge of using abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official.”
