Kerry SFC draw and fixtures: Dingle to meet Spa, Dr Crokes face South Kerry

With the preliminary games done Saturday, the draw has taken place for the knockout phase of the Kingdom's blue riband SFC

REIGNING Kerry and All-Ireland club champions Dingle will face Spa in their first knockout defence of their titles after Saturday's draw for the round of 16 in the Kingdom.

South Kerry and North Kerry emerged from the weekend's second round of preliminary ties to keep their campaigns intact, the former edging a Clifford-less East Kerry - who were already assured of a knockout berth.

However things will get real in a hurry for East Kerry now, after they were paired with Mid Kerry, who will fancy a good run in the knockout phase.

The prize for South Kerry, meanwhile, is a meeting with Dr Crokes, who lost the Kerry Club SFC decider last weekend to Rathmore. 

North Kerry will fancy their chances to progress to the quarter finals against Na Gaeil, though the Tralee side were desperately unlucky to lose the Club SFC semi to Dr Crokes.

The round of 16 ties take place next weekend at neutral venues.

Saturday October 3rd: East Kerry v Mid Kerry, Austin Stack Park, 5pm; Dingle v Spa, Austin Stack Park, 7.15; Dr Crokes v South Kerry, Killorglin, 3pm; Rathmore v St Kieran's, Fitzgerald Stadium, 2pm; Milltown/Castlemaine v Austin Stacks, Fitzgerald Stadium, 4pm.

Sunday October 4th: Kenmare Shamrocks v West Kerry, Fitzgerald Stadium, 1.30; Na Gaeil v North Kerry, Austin Stack Park, 2.30pm; Templenoe v An Ghaeltacht, Fitzgerald Stadium, 3.30pm.
