Morientes in contention

Liverpool expect to have Fernando Morientes back in the squad for Sunday’s visit of Chelsea after the striker missed six games with a hamstring injury.

Midfielder Mohamed Sissoko should also return after two games out with a groin muscle problem, otherwise boss Rafael Benitez has no new injuries to worry about.

With an international break approaching, Benitez could stick to the team that faced Chelsea midweek in the Champions League. Meanwhile, Harry Kewell and Jerzy Dudek are both near to first-team action after long-term problems.
