West Ham manager Alan Pardew today welcomed a proposed £200m (€300m) takeover from Iranian-born businessman Kia Joorabchian as proof the club is on the up.

Joorabchian, the head of London-based consortium Media Sports Investment, has plans to transform West Ham into “one of the top teams in the country”.
