Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd has revealed midfielder Kieron Dyer has agreed a new contract with the Magpies.

Dyer, who looked to be on his way out of the club when he refused to play out of position at Middlesbrough last season and was then involved in an on-the-pitch incident with team-mate Lee Bowyer, has agreed a new four-year deal after a spectacular rehabilitation.
