Manchester United chief executive David Gill has waded into the row over the treatment of the Glazer brothers by Red Devils fans this week.

Bobby Charlton apologises to Joel, Avi and Bryan Glazer yesterday after the trio were forced to exit Old Trafford in a police van on Wednesday night as angry protesters against their £790m (€1.2bn) takeover threatened to turn violent.
