Leech brace gives Drogs the points

Mark Leech scored a terrific brace of goals his legendary father Mick would have been proud of as Drogheda frustrated St. Pat’s with this smash and grab win.

With Dan Connor having made a string of top quality saves to keep St. Pat’s out, Leech gave Drogheda a half time lead when heading home Sami Ristila’s cross on 28 minutes.

Former Finnish international Ristila also provided the pass for leech’s second goal on the hour - the 19-year-old drilling home a left foot shot from the edge of the area.
