Chelsea decide against appeal, unlike Mourinho

Chelsea have decided not appeal against the punishment for their role in the Ashley Cole tapping scandal.

But coach Jose Mourinho is to appeal against his £200,000 fine with the full backing of the club.

The FA Premier League fined Chelsea £300,000 and handed them a suspended three-point deduction for their part in talking to the England and Arsenal left-back, in breach of League rules.
