Fair play chance for Spurs

Tottenham will find out on Sunday if their disciplinary record last season will gain them qualification for the UEFA Cup.

Three places are made available, with Viking FK already through as Norway had the highest ranking in the fair play chart.

The next five countries are in the draw for the two remaining places, with Spurs up against Hammarby of Sweden, JK Tulevik Viljandi of Estonia, BSC Young Boys of Switzerland and a club from the Denmark league which is yet to finish.

The rankings reflect how clubs from each country perform in UEFA competitions based on positive play, respect of opponents and referee, behaviour of the crowd and officials, as well as cautions and dismissals.

The draw will take place at half-time of the opening match of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2005 when hosts England face Finland at Eastlands.

Spurs finished behind Arsenal in the Barclays Premiership’s fair play competition, but the Gunners have qualified for the Champions League.
