Wenger could 'look at' Beckham swoop

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could “look at” the possibility of signing England captain David Beckham this summer.

Beckham, 29, is currently with Spanish giants Real Madrid and has often been linked with a move back to the Premiership since leaving Manchester United in 2003.

Wenger is quoted in the News of the World: “We will have some money to spend in the summer and if there was a chance to sign David Beckham, we would look at it. If the situation arises that it is possible, why not?”

Beckham played for Madrid in their 2-0 win over Real Sociedad yesterday, closing the gap on La Liga leaders Barcelona to three points.
