Keane inspires United to victory again

Roy Keane’s 50th Manchester United goal ensured the Red Devils recorded their 12th win in 14 Premiership outings and again reduced the gap on leaders Chelsea to eight points.

Keane capped an awesome display by driving the Old Trafford outfit ahead 10 minutes after the break, before Wayne Rooney wrapped up victory with a late volley following a mistake by Irish captain Kenny Cunningham.

It could have been so different though had battling Birmingham taken a first half lead instead of seeing Walter Pandiani’s ferocious effort crash back into play off the underside of the bar.
