Paul Doolin has underlined his commitment to turning Drogheda United into title contenders by adding another player to his squad for next season.

Former Shamrock Rovers player of the year Shane Robinson has signed up for United, who challenged Shelbourne for top spot during the summer only to fade to a fourth-place finish, 16 points back from the champions.

Winger Robinson, 23, joins Waterford United keeper Dan Connor, Finnish international midfielder Sami Ristila and Bohemians duo Simon Webb and Damien Lynch as new faces at Drogheda for the 2005 campaign.

Doolin is likely to add further signings with Longford Town defender Graham Gartland among the targets.
