Decie Dan is Drogheda-bound
Drogheda United manager Paul Doolin has further boosted his squad for next season with the capture of Waterford United goalkeeper Dan Connor.
The Republic of Ireland U21 keeper is the latest to sign on after the captures of Finnish international midfielder Sami Ristila and Bohemians duo Simon Webb and Damien Lynch.
The current Drogheda squad still has unfinished business to attend to tonight, with a visit to Longford Town for their delayed final game of the season.
The match was postponed at the weekend when the Flancare Park pitch became waterlogged and was deemed unplayable.
The teams will try again tonight at 7.45pm, with Longford welcoming back leading scorer Dessie Baker following suspension.
Similar circumstances bring defender Steven Gray and leading scorer Declan O'Brien back for Drogheda, although Doolin will hand fitness tests to Mark Rooney, who has a hip injury and David Freeman, recovering from hamstring trouble.
Whatever happens, Longford will be celebrating at the final whistle as they are to parade their FAI Cup and League Cup trophies, earned in a landmark campaign for the midlanders.
