Ameobi ruled out for Newcastle

Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi is out of tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with West Brom after damaging a hip.

The Magpies are hoping that the injury will clear up quickly, but admit it is a concern, although with Alan Shearer, Craig Bellamy and Patrick Kluivert available there is no need for undue concern.
