Sanchez: Carroll has point to prove

Northern Ireland manager Lawrie Sanchez is to give Roy Carroll the chance to prove to Manchester United he is still a top-class goalkeeper.

Carroll will start tonight’s friendly with Switzerland in Zurich ahead of Birmingham’s Maik Taylor, which will come as a much-needed pick-me-up for the 26-year-old.
