Paul Gascoigne is facing a race to regain fitness ahead of Boston’s first game of the new season against Oxford at York Street on Saturday.

The 37-year-old, who has signed a two-year contact with the Pilgrims, has been laid low by the after-effects of suspected food poisoning.
