Crowe searching for century
Bohemians striker Glen Crowe goes in search of his 100th eircom League Premier Division goal this afternoon as the Gypsies take on Shamrock Rovers in an all- ticket match at Dalymount Park (2.30pm).
If Crowe does score today, he will have reached the milestone in 164 games having found the net on his Bohs debut at Waterford United in August 1999 and reached goal number 99 on Monday night at Drogheda.
More pressing for Bohs is the need to stay with the pack chasing leaders Shelbourne, who last night extended their lead at the top of the table to five points with a 2-0 win at Longford Town.
Skipper Kevin Hunt will start contrary to reports from within the club that he was suffering from hamstring problems but manager Stephen Kenny will be without the suspended Tony Grant and injured Stephen Ward while there are minor doubts about Paul Caffrey (ankle) and Dave Morrison (groin).
Rovers will hope to welcome back eircom player of the month for May Trevor Molloy who missed Tuesday’s 3-1 loss at Waterford with food poisoning.
Jason McGuinness definitely returns following a one-match ban.
Mark O’Brien (hamstring), Derek Tracey (groin), Keith O’Halloran (knee) and Terry Palmer (shin) all face late fitness tests but Paul Caffrey is a confirmed absentee with a knee injury.
