Tromso deny Blackburn bid for winger

Norwegian league leaders Tromso have denied receiving a bid for 22-year-old left winger Morten Gamst Pedersen.

The Premiership club have been linked with a £1,5million bid for the star player of the Norwegian league but the club have denied receiving an offer.

Tromso’s chairman Trygve Myrvang said: “I am the chairman of the board, and I have no knowledge of any bid.

“I should be the first to know,” Myrvang told Norwegian newspaper VG.

Tromso coach Per-Mathias Hogmo also denied a bid from Blackburn and does not want Gamst Pedersen to leave.

“I will not spend any energy on this before we have anything firm and concrete on the table,” he said.

“Not until that happens will I take a stand,” Hogmo also told VG.
