Houllier escapes injury in car crash
Liverpool Football Club manager Gerard Houllier was involved in a car crash today but escaped unhurt, the club said.
The Frenchman was driving along Queen’s Drive in Liverpool at about 1.45pm when he was involved in a minor collision near the Childwall 5 Ways roundabout.
A club spokesman said: “There was a minor road accident in Liverpool this afternoon.
“Someone went into the back of the manager’s car but thankfully no one was hurt.”
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: “The collision was damage-only, therefore the police did not attend. We understand the drivers exchanged details.”
