Refs' chief apologises to Ferguson

UK referees chief Keith Hackett has apologised to Alex Ferguson for any offence caused by remarks by Graham Poll.

Premiership referee Poll recently singled out United defender Gary Neville for criticism as a new drive was launched to combat diving in the game.
