Reyes starts for Arsenal

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hands new signing Jose Reyes his first start for the club as he rings the changes for tonight’s Carling Cup semi-final clash with Middlesbrough.

The Spaniard is one of eight new faces from the side which started the 2-1 Barclaycard Premiership win over Manchester City on Sunday as Graham Stack, Patrick Vieira, Martin Keown, Edu, Pascal Cygan, Gael Clichy and David Bentley were all recalled.

That meas Jens Lehmann, Gilberto, Robert Pires, Dennis Bergkamp, Freddie Ljungberg, Sol Campbell, Lauren and Thierry Henry make way with the Gunners battling to overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit.

Boro, looking to book their third trip to the final in seven years, make just two changes to the team which won 3-0 at Leeds on Saturday with Danny Mills replacing Andrew Davies at right-back and Jonathan Greening coming in for George Boateng, who misses out with a groin problem.
