Hammers swoop on Carole

West Ham have signed right-sided midfielder Sebastien Carole on loan from French side Monaco until the end of the season.

The speedy 21-year-old is behind France international Ludovic Giuly in the pecking order with the French league leaders but impressed on trial at Upton Park.

Carole watched the Hammers beat Rotherham 2-1 at the weekend and is expected to go straight into the squad for the trip to Bradford on Saturday.
