Former United starlet approached by Derry
Derry City boss Gavin Dykes looks poised to offer former Manchester United midfielder Ben Thornley the chance of first team football at the Brandywell next season, after initial talks between the two.
Thornley, 28, was a member of the famed ‘class of 1992’ at Old Trafford which included Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham, but with unfruitful periods at Stockport, Huddersfield, Blackpool Aberdeen and Bury, and recurring injuries, he recently began lining out for Unibond League side Stalybridge Celtic.
