United have made Saha approach, say Fulham
Fulham today confirmed they have received “unsolicited and unwelcome” approaches for striker Louis Saha from a number of clubs – including Manchester United.
The French striker has scored 10 goals for the Cottagers so far this season and said earlier this week that a move to Old Trafford would be “a dream” for him.
However, the club’s chief executive officer Jim Hone insists the west London club, who are pursuing a place in Europe, are not prepared to sell.
Hone told the club’s official website www.fulhamfc.com: “The club can confirm that there have been unsolicited and unwelcome enquiries from a number of clubs, including Manchester United.
“However, it has been made clear to those clubs that Fulham FC does not wish to, and has no financial requirement, to sell the player who is under contract to Fulham until 2006.”
