Ferdinand hearing adjourned until tomorrow

The first day of Rio Ferdinand’s disciplinary hearing ended in a wall of silence at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium tonight.

After seven hours of deliberations into Ferdinand’s failure to take a drugs test at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground on September 23, FA representatives refused to offer any comment on proceedings and said there would be no guidance issued until the entire case was concluded.
