Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has claimed he would never leave Highbury for another Premiership club and has no intention of moving abroad.

The Gunners’ French star has been the subject of rumours linking him with Real Madrid but he is happy in London and wants to stay there.

Henry, once mentioned as a possible Chelsea target, also insists that Arsenal are the only English club he is interested in playing for.

He told the News of the World: “I have heard the rumours linking me with Real Madrid but I take no notice.

“I prefer building something with Arsenal, winning the Champions League for the first time with the Gunners would mean making history.

“It’s impossible that I could ever wear a Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea shirt, or anyone else’s. And that’s not just talk.

“I can’t see myself coming back to Highbury with any other team because Arsenal is my paradise.”
