Vanoli doubt for Rangers

Rangers’ Italian import Paolo Vanoli is a doubt after straining a calf muscle in training.

He is the only member of the squad that drew 1-1 in Panathinaikos in midweek whose fitness is in doubt.

Steven Thompson is a long-term absentee as he faces a knee operation but Ronald de Boer, who has had one, and head injury victim Fernando Ricksen are expected to return to training next week.
