Nicky Butt has admitted the three-month lay-off which robbed him of a certain place in the Manchester United side this season was ‘a real kick in the teeth’.

The combative 28-year-old is hoping for a Worthington Cup starting berth at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday after battling back from the injury blow which wrecked his season.
