West Ham interested in Bowyer

West Ham have confirmed their interest in Lee Bowyer.

Bowyer is available having turned down a loan move to Birmingham last week and West Ham's managing director Paul Aldridge said: "There have been no conversations with Leeds yet, and our priority is to sign a forward.

"But that's not to say that we aren't interested in signing a quality player like Lee.

"People within football know he's available and that he is not going to re-sign for Leeds."

His contract at Elland Road expires in the summer.
